Piers LANE

London-based Australian pianist Piers Lane has a flourishing international career, performing regularly with many of the world’s top orchestras. Five-time soloist at the BBC Proms, his concerto repertoire exceeds ninety works including Busoni’s epic piano concerto, which he performed at Carnegie Hall.

Piers Lane is renowned for his recital performances, described by critics as ‘simply spellbinding’, and appears regularly at major music festivals including Bard, Prague Spring and the Chopin Festival in Warsaw, amongst others. As a collaborative artist he performs regularly with violinist Tasmin Little, with an Australian tour in 2018.

Piers Lane was Artistic Director of the Australian Festival of Chamber Music from 2007 to 2017 and is the Artistic Director of the Sydney International Piano Competition.
