Warwick ADENEY & Stephen EMMERSON

Wednesday, 22nd November 7pm, Conservatorium Theatre South Bank

This programme presents a Hommage to Fritz Kreisler, one of the most beloved musicians of the 20th century. Viennese to the core, he was not only among the most famous and revered violinists of the century but also a composer of note and an arranger of genius. The programme features a selection
of his original compositions, arrangements and sonatas with which he is closely associated. His chamber music partner for many years was none other than Sergei Rachmaninov (whose anniversary is celebrated elsewhere in the series) so the programme features two major works that these two legendary musicians recorded together and performed many times. By popular demand, the programme also includes the two waltzes by Johann Strauss that delighted last year’s audience. A Viennese treat all round!
